 The history of Essential Kitchen Design begins with our founder and design director, Chris Grimm. He originally had the vision of creative problem solving in kitchen and bath design and began implementing this effective strategy in his designs well over six years ago. His philosophy of creative problem solving works because he believes in listening to a client's needs and exploring creative alternatives to meeting design and budget goals.
In addition to Chris' years of indoor and outdoor kitchen and bath design experience, Chris has over ten years experience in both home remodeling and drafting. He has worked in computer aided design design (CAD) since 1994 and puts all of his years of expertise into every one of his designs. You may have seen a few of his published designs in "San Jose Magazine" and on HGTV in "New Home Journal". While this recognition is important to Chris, it is the joy that he brings to every client when they see their completed project... that is his true reward.
Chris Grimm began his education at West Valley College and finished with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hartford. He has been an important figure in the California kitchen and bath design industry for over six years.
